Corrections

I try to get things right and link every item to its source. If something here is wrong, email john.carioto@gmail.com with the issue date and item.

When I confirm an error, I fix it and add a dated note to the item: “Corrected [Month D, YYYY]: [what changed].” I don't silently rewrite published facts. If digests are being sent and an error went out in one, the next digest carries the correction.

Editorial removals. When items are removed from an issue after it is published, that isn't done silently either: the issue gets a dated note at the top saying that items were removed and linking to this policy.

Minor fixes to typos or broken links are made without a note. If I learn that a source has changed its story, I update the item and say so.

News items summarize and link to their original sources; if my summary and the source disagree, the source wins. See the Terms and the disclosure on the About page.
