BMS Trend Analyzer

Drop a trend export — long, wide or block-report CSV, from any BMS — and get a ranked list of what the data says is wrong: stuck sensors, valves pinned at 100 %, hunting loops, short cycling, equipment running unoccupied, and time spent off setpoint. Charts on a shared time axis, a day-by-hour carpet plot, and CSV out. The file is read in your browser and never uploaded.

Findings come from the trend file you provide and the thresholds and occupied schedule you set — nothing else. They describe what the logged data shows, not what the equipment is doing: a bad sensor, a gap in the trend, or a mis-typed point will produce findings that are wrong. Thresholds here are defaults for discussion, not code, standard, or manufacturer limits, and there is no energy or cost model. Not a substitute for site investigation, functional testing, commissioning, or licensed HVAC design. Informational / preliminary use only; verify on site before acting. Your file is read in your browser and is never uploaded.

Upload or drop a BMS trend CSV

CSV, tab or semicolon separated. Long (Timestamp, Point, Value), wide (one column per point), or a block report that repeats a “Point System Name:” header per point. Up to 100 MB. The file is read in your browser and never uploaded.

Paste rows instead
Occupied schedule

Splits every result occupied / unoccupied. Weekdays come from the dates in the file. Start is inclusive, end exclusive; a start later than the end wraps overnight.

Thresholds

Defaults, not standards. Every finding reports the value that produced it, so a threshold you disagree with is one you can move.

No trend loaded

Upload or paste a BMS trend CSV to see findings, a health score, and charts. Use the drop zone or file picker, or paste rows on the left. Nothing is analyzed until you provide a file.

Template points list

BMS exports have no standard naming, so this is the dictionary the analyzer types points against. A point whose name matches any alias is typed automatically. Rename your trend columns to these tags — or download a blank template and export into it — and everything is recognized on the first pass.

What sets it apart

It runs in your browser, directly on the raw CSV your BMS exports, with nothing to install.

The file is parsed on your device as it streams in and is never uploaded; there is no account to make. Long, wide, and block-report layouts are detected automatically, with comma, tab, semicolon, or pipe delimiters, up to 100 MB. Points are typed from their names against the template alias list and then from the values themselves, so there is no mapping step before the findings appear; correct a point the analyzer read wrong and the findings recompute. Thresholds and the occupied schedule are set on the page.

Built for one trend export, looked at once

Its checks are point-level: stuck sensors, outputs pinned at a rail, hunting loops, short cycling, equipment running unoccupied, time off setpoint, and simultaneous heating and cooling. Each finding is ranked and split into occupied and unoccupied hours, so the problems worth a closer look come first. When the trends show something worth watching over time, keep trending those points and run the same export again.

Utility only — not a PE stamp, certified weather product, or code-approved calculation. Outputs are estimates from your inputs/files; verify before design, bidding, or compliance use. Terms
