Pipe Sizing
Enter the design flow and a nominal pipe size. Velocity is (gpm × 0.4085) / D²; Reynolds number and a Swamee–Jain / Darcy–Weisbach drop follow. Status bands are the 2–4 ft/s chilled-water and 4–7 ft/s condenser-water ranges used here.
0 is water. The viscosity correction is the source approximation (1 + 0.05 × %), not a fluid-supplier table.
Velocity and drop
Inside the 2–4 ft/s chilled-water band used here.
Flow regime
v = (gpm × 0.4085) / D². Re = (3160 × gpm) / (D × μ). Darcy–Weisbach ΔP/100 ft = 1.35 × f × Q² / D⁵ × SG (water SG = 1). Pipe IDs are the Schedule 40 values in this tool.
